Scholarship of Teaching & Learning

Teaching is a scholarly endeavor, and faculty members' work as instructors should garner the same recognition and reward afforded to other forms of scholarship. The СÀ¶ÊÓƵ Scholar Program, following the model of The Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), seeks to support faculty activities that:

  • Foster significant and long-lasting student learning
  • Enhance the practice and profession of teaching
  • Develop ideas about teaching and learning that can be disseminated on campus and beyond
  • Reward and publicly recognize the scholarship of СÀ¶ÊÓƵ faculty

Thus, СÀ¶ÊÓƵ has established a fund, the Marilyn Repsher Scholarship for Teaching and Learning (SoTL), to internally provide scholarly teaching grants to СÀ¶ÊÓƵ faculty.
