Students seeking this program should already be board-certified practicing respiratory therapists. Our curriculum offers specific coursework in professional communication, advanced care concepts, leadership practices, healthcare management, education techniques, and evidence-based practice. 

Eligibility & RequirementsAdmissions Requirements

  • Completed JU Application
  • Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited associate degree respiratory therapy program within a regionally accredited institution
    • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater
  • All unofficial transcripts from regionally accredited colleges & universities
  • Current National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential
  • Active, unencumbered respiratory therapist state licensure

 

The following are required of students with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or below:

  • Statement of Intent
  • Letter of recommendation

 

Past clinical experience is encouraged, but not required for admittance into the program. Those currently working in non-clinical based positions are eligible to apply. Proof of continuing education units (CEUs) may be requested on a case-by-case basis.
