Professional Information:

Dr. Thanasiu is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL) and Qualified Supervisor (FL) and holds national credentials as a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor and National Certified Counselor. She specializes in the treatment of children and adults with complex trauma utilizing creative evidence-based approaches such as play therapy and expressive arts techniques. She has provided counseling services to children and their families in their homes, at school, and in hospital and outpatient settings since 2003.

Dr. Thanasiu has developed and led successful programming that included service delivery to underserved populations within the realms of play therapy and integrated behavioral health. Her research, publications, and national and international conference presentations center around these same topics.
