Students and faculty are enjoying a tasty update to Davis College of Business and
Technology, as Haymaker Coffee Co. has taken over the caf茅 space.
Haymaker Coffee has a special 小蓝视频 connection. The company鈥檚 founder,
Eun Cho, is a JU alum. After graduating in 2003, Cho spent 15 years working in the
finance sector in New York City. In 2020, Cho, along with two partners, founded Haymaker
Coffee. All three founders are first- and second-generation American immigrants, and
they started the company out of a desire to make a great cup of coffee for hardworking
people.
鈥淎t its core, Haymaker Coffee was founded with a mission to provide a great cup of
coffee that empowers those who persevere and have an unyielding determination to chase
their dreams,鈥 explained Cho. 鈥淭he essence of our brand revolves around building a
community of individuals who embody these values, becoming a part of their journey,
and offering support in every way possible to enable these dream-chasers.鈥
The Davis College caf茅 is yet another expansion for the brand. Haymaker also recently
opened a caf茅 at the Community First Igloo, the Jacksonville Icemen鈥檚 practice facility
and public ice skating rink, and it is building out its fleet of branded coffee trucks.
For Cho, the new caf茅 reflects the symbiotic relationship he has long shared with
JU, and its foundation is a way for him to say 鈥榯hank you鈥 to the University for all
it has done for him as a student, a professional, and a business owner.
鈥淚 had a deep sense of gratitude and a desire to give back the guidance and support
I received while I was at JU,鈥 he explained. 鈥淲hile I initially dreamed of making
a significant contribution to the university, it鈥檚 becoming more evident that the
university has given so much to me and the Haymaker team. The unwavering support from
JU has been nothing short of incredible.鈥
Haymaker Coffee is Monday thru Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
